The August List

Just like the first instalment, here are some more of the things I have been enjoying lately, finding inspirations in, and lusting after. Happy stalking friends!

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask - as my skin and scalp have started drying out again this mask has felt divine on my hair. I know you aren’t meant to use masks on the scalp but I have and this soothed it so much while making my hair feel incredibly soft without oily residue.

Verbose The Label Pants - These pants are my third purchase from Verbose The Label now and even though I love the first two items these are easily my favourite. Verbose clothing is all designed using amazing quality, ribbed, stretch fabric that hugs the body in all the right ways. And the shopping experience is amazing as their website is designed to browse by size with a model showing how each garment looks for each size pairing. I have linked these pants in the size I took in these (size 10). The stretch fabric has a lot of give so if you sit between sizes definitely go for the lower of the two.

West Elm Cushion Cover - I had been eyeing this pink cushion cover off for a while online and after seeing it in person I finally bought it. It is even better now its on my couch with the other cushions.

Vagina by Naomi Wolf - if you have a vulva, know someone with a vulva, or love someone with a vulva this book is a must read. I have learnt so much more about the female body than I ever have in my 26 years so far through either formal education, appointments with doctors, or through articles online. It can be a heavy read, covering everything from sexual pleasure and health to the mind vagina connection and how sexual violence can inflict permanent physical harm along with the mental harm to women. I am still going, because I have had to reread so many parts already to get them to sink in.

Country Road Marble Mortar & Pestle - I won’t gate keep this from you, the second I saw this on Country Road’s website I needed it for product photography. And in person it. is. divine. As you can see from the Gisou mask, I have already taken it for a spin and am desperate for a client to book me for more images so I can use it again.

Ferm Living Rug - this is the only rug I have found online with dimensions that suit our front door, easy care fabric (hello machine washable!), and a nice light colour that won’t compete with the large rug we have right near the entryway. If I finally bite the bullet and order it I’ll update what it is like once it arrives.
